What’s the Allure of Kantiang Bay?
There’s a reason that people return to Kantiang Bay on the southwest coast of laid back Koh Lanta. This beautiful 1 km stretch of sand is set at the foot of rain-forested hills that climb backwards from the bay.
The village here, set back and around the northern headland of the bay is home to mini-marts, souvenir shops, chilled out bars, restaurants and hire places. It’s a self-contained slice of paradise that lends itself perfectly to staying for a while and unwinding. There are also several other beautiful beaches nearby to explore.

Things to Do at Kantiang Bay
- Most people come here to relax and recharge, and this far down south on Koh Lanta is perfect for this.
- The water is nice and clear, so swimming is good if you avoid the rockier parts of the beach.
